Harbor seals can dive to 1450 ft & stay submerged for 25 mins! They inhabit the coastal regions of the N. Pacific & Atlantic oceans, & the Arctic regions. They weigh ~180 lbs. and are ~6' in length. Within an hour of birth, most pups can crawl & swim!
Raccoon females typically have litters of 4 cubs, which they nurse for about 70 days. The cubs' eyes open at 18—24 days and they begin exploring the world outside the den when they are 9—10 weeks old. Although the pups begin to forage and hunt with the mother within two months, she will care for them for almost a year.

The bison sustained a way of life and independence for the Native Americans. From 40 million in 1800, widespread slaughter led to 0 wild bison in the US in 1883!
