Wash infected skin asap with soap & cold water. Minimizes severity of the rash & prevents spread of the oily sap from the roots, stems, leaves & fruit of these plants. Don't wash with solvents such as alcohol since they tend to spread the sap further!

The Tule Elk is a smaller & lighter subspecies of N. American Elk that occurs only in California. Vast numbers thrived in the grasslands of central & coastal California. With the 1800's gold rush, uncontrolled hunting & rapid agricultural development drove them nearly to extinction (almost single digits)!
